Atlantic Golf Center Custom Club Fitting
A player's swing is as individual as his or her fingerprint. Finding
the right equipment for your swing requires the proper fit. Fitting should
not be solely based on static measures, but rather by the unique characteristics
of a players swing. Such a method is called dynamic fitting. Our
goal is to fit model type, shaft length, lie angle, shaft flex and grip
size/type.
What we are looking for, and why we are looking for it.
By Definition, lie angle is the angle between the shaft and the ground
line. This is made when the club head is soled so that it touches the
ground directly at the centerline of the club face. The corner lie angle
is therefore critical to ensure shot control.
The type of shaft has a direct impact on the player's swing. A stiffer or
softer shaft flex must be chosen to fit the individual player's swing
characteristics. Consequently, the shaft can raise or lower the ball trajectory.
The correct grip size will feel comfortable and relaxed. If you have too
large of a grip, your wrist will have difficulty rolling through the swing. If
you have too small of a grip, the club head may twist excessively. At Atlantic
Golf Center we advocate the philosophy of providing you with
the very best in customer service and custom fit pro-line equipment.
